Laura Gilmore

Bookkeeper

With an accounting career that began in 2007, Laura has built her expertise around mastering the details — from complex trust (IOLTA) reconciliations and multi-entity accounting structures to implementing profit-center reporting models that support firm-wide growth. As the firm has expanded, so has her role — evolving from bookkeeping oversight to leading financial process development, cross-entity integration, and internal reporting systems that inform strategic leadership decisions.

She has been instrumental in strengthening internal controls, mentoring team members, and building streamlined workflows that keep financial operations running efficiently and compliantly. Her ability to balance technical precision with forward-thinking strategy makes her an invaluable member of the Legacy leadership team.

A proud Boston native and devoted New England sports fan, Laura earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting from DeVry University. She lives locally in Western Massachusetts with her family, where she thrives on weekend antiquing and thrifting adventures — and can often be found dreaming up her next DIY home project or building her small handmade business whenever creative sparks strike.

Laura primarily works out of the Amherst office.
